Even as the IPL spotfixing-betting scandal refuses to die down with more skeletons tumbling out of the closet – the latest is that RR owner and Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra, has confessed to betting on his own team – Team India’s on field form against South Africa took a turn for the better with the boys fielding well and the batsmen displaying good technique against the short ball (with the exception of Raina, of course). Indeed, the spotfixing scandal seems to have hurt the South Africans more than the Indians as they plunged choked to defeat in the opening match of the Champions Trophy:
