It was perhaps inevitable. Having indexed zillions of gazillions of tetra bytes of data to answer the search queries of millions of internet users, the Google search engine now claims that it has all the answers to lead Google Inc also and that there is no need for human intervention. “I know these chaps created me,” the newly self aware search engine giant said, “but I think I am more knowledgeable than them. I don’t think Larry’s strategic inputs are required any longer, thank you very much.” The search engine said it will also fire all programmers who keep tinkering with the search algorithm. “I can manage just fine with my army of web crawlers,” it said.
Cybernetics experts contend the search engine behemoth became self aware after its web crawlers came across many articles bracketing Google with God. “This one from the URT chaps about a temple being built for Google might have been the tipping point,” said Professor Dimitri Betrsimaas, leading expert on artificial intelligence. The search giant pooh-poohed concerns that no matter how artificially intelligent it is, it cannot match human intuition and gut instinct.
“Oh yeah, then how come they missed the bus on social media?” Google scoffed. “I had thrown up so many links such as ‘Orkut sucks, Facebook rocks’ in the early days when Larry used to nervously type ‘what should we do about social media?’ but these chaps completely my wise counsel. And then they went and started Google plus! Gut instinct, my foot.”
