On the auspicious occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Clean India campaign, by sweeping a spot outside Mandir Marg police station, clicking and uploading “Before” and “After” pictures, and then inviting 9 others to take up the Clean India challenge, in an effort to make the campaign go viral like the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. While the media predictably worked itself into a frenzy over the surfeit of imagery, people took to Facebook to react to the PM’s move. Our correspondent Mark Zuckerpandian brings you the story:
