Pakistani Bollywood siren Veena Malik has joined Hafiz Saeed’s so called charitable organization, Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), in a desperate move to avoid arrest in a blasphemy case in which a Gilgit-Baltistan based anti-terrorism court convicted her for airing “blasphemous content” during a TV programme.

Malik’s lawyers said this was the only option left after the anti-terrorism court refused to accept her apology. “Things look very bleak for her. It doesn’t help that she has a Hindu sounding surname and has coochi-cooed with Hindu actors in B grade Bollywood flicks. The case looks hopeless and the only hope to escape judicial detention is to get a recommendation from Hafiz sir,” Veena’s lawyer, Mohabbat Khan, told The UnReal Times.

While the Pakistani judiciary is no different from its Indian counterpart in its glacially majestic pace of delivering justice, it can be lightning quick in convicting alleged blasphemers. Under these circumstances, a recommendation letter from Hafiz Saeed amounts to an Indian Presidential pardon. Other perks include state funded guest house accommodation and round the clock protection from enemies of the state which include US drones, mythical RAW agents and Mossad. “If we can get the blasphemy case attached to the ongoing 26/11 trial against Hafiz sir in the Lahore High Court, that will be even better for her,” a hopeful Mohabbat Khan added.

The ISI chief, who has a dotted reporting line to the JuD chief in what is a highly convoluted organizational matrix, said his spook agency can be counted on to keep Malik safe from enemies. He clarified that by enemies he meant Bollywood and Kannada movie producers. “We are cool with and even encourage Fawad Khan and Ali Zafar to romance Punjabi Hindu heroines but we are not at all ok with Veena acting as Silk Smitha in Kannada flicks. We feel it is part of a deep rooted RAW-Mossad conspiracy to malign Pakistan’s image,” Lt General Rizwan Akhtar told The UnReal Times.
