Under fire from both secular and communal politicians for undertaking re-conversion campaigns across the nation, Vishwa Hindu Parishad has taken matters a notch higher. Now they’ve demanded the “ghar wapsi” of Team India from down under.

“Indian cricket and cricket religion has been subjugated for the past 800 years in away Test matches. Or at least it feels like that. For the first time we have a government that is committed to protecting whatever is left of our cricketers’ respect on foreign soil,” said VHP chief Ashok Singhal.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat too justified the call. “We will bring back our brothers who have lost their way, and have had their vegetarian food stolen by a thief,” he said.

Rajya Sabha was disrupted for the nth day today, as opposition leaders led by CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury stormed to the well shaking their fists at the treasury benches, while an impassive Modi stared blankly into the emptiness.

“If the opposition feels strongly about it, the government is happy to discuss an anti ghar wapsi law,” said a defensive Venkaiah Naidu, in a weak attempt to calm the others down.

“Are you kidding me?” shot back Sitaram Yechury. “We are all for this ghar wapsi. Bring the buggers home before they embarrass us any further!” leading to desk thumps and vociferous shouts of approvals from the other opposition MPs.

“Then why are you disrupting parliament proceedings?” demanded a befuddled Naidu.

“Oh, that,” grinned Congress MP Anand Sharma. “Just like that.”
