Arvind Kejriwal slammed sections of the mainstream media for projecting an AAP victory in the upcoming Delhi polls, saying he smelled yet another conspiracy to scupper AAP’s prospects. “For the last few months, they have been singing Modi’s praises and gleefully covering AAP’s travails and implosions. Suddenly, over the last few days, they have changed their tunes and are now predicting an AAP victory. It seems that they now want to rob us of our underdog status as well,” Kejriwal snarled.

Manish Sisodia said it was a sign of BJP’s desperation. “Their stings have not worked and now they are getting more desperate. So showing AAP to be in the lead could be a conspiracy to goad sanghis to get off their butts and do some real work the in the final hours while lulling AAP volunteers into a sense of complacency. But we will not fall prey to their machinations,” Sisodia explained the political calculus underlying the latest survey findings.

Yogendra Yadav also appeared perturbed. “There is something more to it than meets the eye,” he patiently explained to The UnReal Times. “The usual pattern is for these corporate controlled surveys to underestimate AAP and for satire sites such as The UnReal Times to then make fun of my internal survey findings. Now they are broadly agreeing with me. I feel very disturbed. Has Ambani had a tiff with Narendra Modi and for a change wants the truth to come out? We can only speculate.”

The trio tried to rally the morale of AAP volunteers by listing a number of ways in which the corporate-sanghi nexus could yet manipulate the electoral process. “Doston, don’t get swayed by their false propaganda and take victory for granted,” Kejriwal exhorted. “EVM tampering, liquor and muscle power, and more stings will come into play. Even a short India-Pakistan war cannot be ruled out a day before polling. So we must be on our guard and never lower our levels of self-righteousness,” he cautioned.
