CBI does U turn on Mulayam, refuses to close case against him despite Govt’s orders to the contrary

Samajwadi Party Chief, Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav, got a taste of his own medicine with the CBI doing a U-turn and refusing to ‘go slow’ in investigating allegations of the Yadav chieftain possessing assets disproportionate to known sources of income.

The CBI’s U-turn comes despite the Center directing the premier investigation agency to suspend the case in the wake of the Samajwadi Party bailing out the Singh government during the vote in Parliament over allowing FDI in multi-brand retail. Justifying the move, CBI director, Shri Ranjit Sinha, said his boys are sick and tired of Mulayam’s erratic U-turns, which in turn induces the Center to make U-turns over investigating his shenanigans.

“And as a result, our work schedule is full of U turns which has thrown our work life balance completely out of gear. For instance, currently I have nothing to do. But just when I am about to plan a nice little vacation, I might get a call from by boss, Shinde sir, asking me to reopen the Mulayam case because he has done a volte-face on a pending bill and needs to be checked. Heck man, ever since Didi withdraw support and the UPA’s survival hinges on support from the SP, our life has become miserable. Now we have decided to complete the investigation come what may, Mulayan’s U turns be damned,” thundered the CBI Director.

CBI officers investigating the case have revealed more details of the fluctuating and highly uncertain nature of their work. “In the days leading up to the FDI vote, Shinde sir was driving us hard to crack the case against Mulayam ji.  We were putting night outs to get results and then suddenly a few hours before the vote in the House, Shinde sir told us to drop the case and go back to the bench,” moaned Vineet K. Gupta. As a result of the highly variable and volatile nature of their work schedules, many of the CBI officers now suffer from insomnia and BP.

Mulayam, who was apparently driving from Delhi to Agra, made a U-turn after hearing about the CBI’s decision to rush back to the capital. However, the SP chief was in such a state of panic that he made a series of random semi-U turns during the route, and is now lost somewhere in the badlands of Bundelkhand. Frantic efforts are on to locate him.
