Delhi CM Kejriwal has hit back and hit back hard at protesters led by Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan. Kejriwal did so by letting loose a hug hungry Lalu Prasad Yadav on them, sowing seeds of panic and chaos among the throng assembled outside the Delhi Vidhan Sabha to protest against the AAP govt’s Lokpal bill. Confusion reigned supreme as panic stricken agitators climbed over each other to flee at the sight of a marauding Lalu.

“Don’t run away, my children. This too shall pass,” a pained Yogendra tried to dissuade his fleeing followers before he too beat a hasty retreat as the RJD supremo came within striking distance of a bear hug. What Sec 144 couldn’t do, Lalu achieved and how!!

Later, Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav lambasted their former comrade for resorting to cheap tactics. “Arvind could have arrested us, tear-gassed us, water-cannoned us, if he didn’t agree with our just and self-righteous stand. But exposing us to Lalu Prasad Yadav? Is this the level to which politics has sunk in our country?” Yogendra Yadav said in a gentle tone full of pathos.

An unapologetic Arvind justified his action. “They called my bill a Mahajokepal. They mocked me for getting hugged by Lalu. Well, now the joke is on them,” he said.

Tailpiece: Rajdeep Sardesai later tried to broker peace between Yadav-Bhushan and Kejriwal but all three turned on him after he used the opportunity to plug his book “2014: The Election that Changed India”.
