Dr. Manmohan Singh replaces Aamir Khan as villain in Dhoom 3 after kickass Parliament speech

Yash Raj has replaced Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan with the hitherto soft-spoken Dr. Manmohan Singh as the antagonist in Dhoom 3. The move was prompted by Dr. Singh’s kick-ass speech in Parliament, in which he minced no words (some of which had to be expunged) while upbraiding the Opposition.

Confirming the move, Aditya Chopra said, “I was pleasantly surprised to see Dr. Singh come across as so feisty, in stark contrast to his namby-pamby, self-effacing image.  The economy is going down the drain and here is its chief architect, petulantly laying the blame at the doorsteps of his boss and the US Fed. And when he said, ‘I am not the custodian of files in my ministry’, I knew I had found my villain.”

Dr. Singh reportedly gave even his boss, Sonia Gandhi, a tongue-lashing after his rare Parliamentary intervention, so foul was his mood. “One more harebrained populist scheme from your side and I’ll rat on you as well,” he snarled.  Sonia’s attempts to pacify him by saying, “Chill, Mammohan ji. Why do you get so upset if people call you ‘chor’? Even Rajivji was mocked with ‘gali gali mein shor hai, Rajiv Gandhi chor hai’,” were also in vain as the scholar turned Prime Minister pointed out that “there is nothing left for me to loot and yet I get all the blame and not even a scheme named after my father or grandfather at the end of it all.”

Yash Raj has given Dr. Singh three months to tone his body and get into shape. “He’s actually slightly taller than Aamir Khan and if he beefs up, he’ll definitely make for a far more menacing villain,” Chopra added. The movie will be called Doom 3 with the tagline “His term will end with a Doom.” Yash Raj has already released a teaser poster of the upcoming flick.

The Opposition has welcomed Dr. Singh’s Bollywood debut as a villain with Arun Jaitley saying, “it vindicates our long held view that PM chor hai.”
