Arvind Kejriwal dismissed Imran Khan’s ongoing mass agitation on the streets of Islamabad to dislodge the Nawaz Sharif regime as a very pale imitation of AAP’s style of politics. “I am afraid these PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf) people just don’t match up to AAP’s high standards of self-righteousness and probity,” Kejriwal observed, when his views on political developments across the border were solicited.

“If Imranji was really serious about dislodging the corrupt Nawaz Sharif regime, he should have made that Tahir-ul Qadri, who I believe is some kind of a Pakistani Anna, go on an indefinite fast while he himself should have slept on the footpath. But I’m told he was relaxing in his villa on Friday evening while his supporters were getting drenched,” Kejriwal observed.

Imran Khan had made amends for his nonappearance on Friday by spending Saturday night on the footpath and even taking selfies but Arvind said he was not impressed. “Even our Ashutosh can put pose for better selfies, yaar,” was his trenchant observation of this picture that Imran loaded on the official PTI Twitter handle. “And what’s with the clean shaven look and sporting aviator shades while addressing the crowds the next day?”

Kejriwal went on to chide Imran for his bombastic rhetoric. “Why does he keep calling his show of strength a tsunami, boss? Can’t he just call it a wave, if at all? AAP leaders are more humble and grounded that way, even Yogendra bhai,” the former Delhi CM noted.

The AAP supremo was also very dismissive of Imran Khan’s claims of representing Pakistan’s aam aadmi. “Just look at the way he looks and dresses, ji,” Kejriwal said. “How can a man with such playboy looks claim to understand the plight of the aam aadmi? The aam aadmi can only fantasize about scoring on and off the field like Imranji. There is no comparison between him and me, a genuine aam aadmi without any aukaat, ji,” the Magsaysay award winner turned politician said.

Kejriwal trailed off saying his AAP is far superior to Imran’s Tehreek-e-Insaaf in every respect. “Doston, I don’t know how the Indian cricket team compares with the Pakistan cricket team. At present, both seem to suck. But when it comes to the politics of fighting corruption, let me assure you AAP is way ahead of Imran’s Tehreek-e-Insaaf. Apart from a secular sounding name, there is nothing else noteworthy about that party. Sab mile hue hain, ji [they are all mixed up],” Kejriwal said, dubbing Imran’s PTI as a rich man’s AAP.
