The AAP denounced Rajdeep Sardesai’s behaviour after the AAP core committee went through raw footage of the altercation between Rajdeep Sardesai and the crowd at Madison Square. ”Our first instinct was to trend #IstandwithRajdeep,” Manish Sisodiya told The UnReal Times, “what with lot of people insinuating that Rajdeep was behaving like an AAP leader and all but AAP is different from other parties. We hold ourselves to a higher standard. So we decided to see the raw footage of the incident, at Yogendra Yadavji’s insistence, before taking a stand.”
After watching all the available footage, Arvind denounced Rajdeep’s behaviour, terming it very unAAP like. “This is not the AAP way of doing things, yaar. Even our Somnath is more dignified and refined than this,” Kejriwal said. “For starters, AAP leaders will never lunge at detractors like this. We would have pleaded with them to slap us so that we can forgive them.”
“While his questions were spot on, his style of posing them left much to be desired as well,” the AAP leader added. “He should have addressed the Prime Minister as ‘Modi ji’ rather than ‘Modi’. And what’s with that obnoxious class reference? AAP always stands with the aam admi, who is from a lower middle class background. We will never criticize a person for not being able to speak in a clipped accent,” the former Delhi CM pointed out.
Yogendra Yadav said even more shocking was that Rajdeep was capable of using foul language. “I though Rajdeep bhai was up there with me in upholding the highest standards of probity in public life,” he said in a soft, gentle voice, “so to hear him use an unparliamentary word referring to a section of the human anatomy left me devastated.”
