Tamil Nadu CM O Pannerselvam’s career graph could hit a new high (or low, depending on one’s point of view). N Srinivasan said he is no longer interested in getting reinstated as BCCI President and has instead nominated the staunch Amma aide in his stead.
“Tired of fighting with the Supreme Court, paa, and trying to willy-nilly get reinstated as BCCI chief when better options are available,” a visibly relaxed Srini told The UnReal Times. “I am confident Mr Panneerselvam will make for a fine BCCI president and I am fully throwing my weight behind him.”
The Supreme Court for its part has reconciled itself to the new arrangement. “It is even more nauseating but what can we do? It’s perfectly legal,” a bench of the Supreme Court overseeing the probe into spotfixing allegations involving Meiyappan observed.
The cement baron said he is looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership with O Panneerselvam. “He is now as dear to me as Dhoni thambi,” Srini disclosed, eyes welling up. “I have already made him a Vice President in India Cements and given his family a season’s pass to next year’s IPL,” Srini added.
O Panneerselvam once again broke down after hearing that he would be reporting to N Srinivasan in addition to Amma.
