With the BJP yet to declare its list of MLA candidates, let alone the CM candidate, the AAP has gone ahead and released what it thinks is the list of BJP MLA candidates.
“Well, we can’t keep waiting indefinitely for these guys to make up their mind,” revealed AAP second in command, Manish Sisodiya. “For every query regarding choice of candidates, they have only one answer: this elections will be fought in Modi’s name. First they tried to portray it as Modi vs Kejriwal election prompting us to declare their CM candidate,” he added.
“Now they want to hoodwink people into thinking they will vote for Modi as the MLA of every Assembly seat. I am told they are planning to release a list of Modi posters asking people to vote for him if they want lower power bills, cleaner roads, and better security. But AAP will not let BJP get away with this. We have gone ahead and released the names of the BJP MLA contenders, their criminal background, educational qualifications,” Sisodiya said.
Earlier, AAP had also declared BJP’s Delhi CM candidate, some guy called Jagdish Mukhi, and gone to town, planting posters of an upbeat, chirpy, Kejriwal alongside a rather glum faced Mukhi. The Delhi BJP hit back by releasing posters of Modi.
Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay appealed to people not to get swayed by AAP’s false propaganda. “Unlike AAP, we have absolutely no clue who is in charge here. Even Amit bhai has no idea what’s going on in Delhi. So while we are grateful to them for keeping us informed of our internal politics, I appeal to people through your site to just have trust in Modiji,” Upadhyay said.
He also rubbished allegations that the Delhi BJP campaign lacks imagination. “A lot of creativity went into determining the font size of the Modi posters that form the cornerstone of our campaign,” he said.
