Software giant, Adobe Systems, has tied up with the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) to promote its marquee product Adobe Photoshop in India.
CEO Shantanu Narayen termed the development as the start of a ‘Strategic Partnership’. “Nobody has done as much to promote Adobe Photoshop in South India as AIADMK workers. By photoshopping nearly every eminent world leader bowing down to or prostrating in front of Amma, they have demonstrated the full potential of Adobe Photoshop, something our technology evangelists have been unable to. And by printing these images on large banners and putting them up everywhere, they have done what our marketing budgets have been unable to do. These guys are rockstars!”
According to sources, the company plans to gradually introduce Adobe’s other products as well to the AIADMK workers. A team from Adobe has already met with a group of AIADMK workers and demonstrated some of the basic functions of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects and a few other products.
“This After Effects is awesome!” exclaimed a delighted AIADMK worker. “Now I can create animated videos of Obama prostrating before Amma or Vladimir Putin rolling on the ground praying before Amma!”
NASDAQ celebrated the partnership by pushing stocks of Adobe Systems up by 10%. AIADMK party workers, on the other hand, celebrated in their inimitable fashion by putting up banners all over Chennai with Adobe’s CEO and the entire top management photoshopped bowing down to Amma.
