Great news for Game of Thrones fans! George RR Martin might finish his sixth book “Winds of Winter” after all! The author of the fantasy bestseller has decided to seek the help of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in order to meet his deadline of getting the book out before the next season of the TV series.
“I think it’s time I admitted it. I’m getting older and fatter by the day, and at the rate I’m going about writing the 6th book, I’m unlikely to get anywhere near the finish line. If I don’t finish it before the next season of the TV series, God knows what the HBO guys will do with the storyline!”
According to the author, he hit upon the idea of co-authoring with Shivraj Singh Chouhan while he was lazily browsing news from across the world on his home computer.
“We have so much in common!” said Martin. “I’ve been following with a lot of interest the way key characters connected with the Vyapam scam are allegedly being offed in Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s Madhya Pradesh. As my fans know, I like bumping off characters too,” Martin added with a wink. “Inviting him to co-author Winds of Winter was a no-brainer.”
“44 people so far, is it?” added Martin, with awe. “Reminds me of the Red Wedding!”
According to sources, Shivraj Singh Chouhan accepted Martin’s invitation after making sure the sexagenarian had nothing to do with the Vyapam Scam. “I congratulate Shri George RR Martin ji for announcing his intention to finish his next book. I look forward to a fruitful partnership with Shri Martin ji,” he said.
Veteran BJP leader LK Advani has welcomed the development. “Shivraj Singh Chouhan is a far better writer than Narendra Modi, and I’m sure he’ll do as well in this role as he has as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh,” he said.
